Focused Growth Portfolio
We take a focused growth stock approach to equity investing. We create a diversified growth portfolio by targeting high-quality growth companies whose earnings are growing at an 11 to 15-percent annualized rate of return or greater.
This rate of return can include principal growth and dividend yield. We take no more than a 3-percent position in each equity holding on a cost basis. Our equity portfolio is constructed for the long term, taking into consideration the equity cycle time horizon, which is on average 10 years.
Our goal is to achieve an annualized rate of return over that of U.S. general market return, placing a strong emphasis on owning companies that are able to generate stable, long-term earnings growth.
